Our client is a successful and privately owned business that provides fund data and research products to a range of clients including institutional investment managers, discretionary managers and IFAs. We seek a Project Manager/Business Analyst to join this fast growing firm.
Job Summary
The primary objective of the role is to be the main product owner of our client's main customer website. There will be some additional responsibilities to get involved with other data and research products. The role is focused on undertaking requirements gathering, problem solving and designing elegant solutions to meet the business requirements. The requirements must be documented, tracked and escalated if required. The role will also require some level of testing, proposing improvements and BAU support. You will need to engage with the main stakeholders to ensure that all parties are happy with the requirements being put forward and the project deliverables are on time and fit for purpose.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage and challenge the key stakeholders to ensure all that the business requirements are met with elegant technical solutions.
- Documentation of the software changes
- Track and manage software defects/product changes
- Test software fixes and changes – ensure they meet the business requirements
- Propose changes to improve the product and the processes surrounding them
Knowledge/Experience
- Educated to a degree level
- Proven experience of analysis, designing, documenting and testing software
- Good Excel and Word skills
- Project software experience e.g. Jira and teamworkPM/Basecamp
- Understand technical software e.g. css, html, xml and SQL
- SQL Skills – write and understand SQL (desirable; training can be provided)
- Industry fund knowledge is beneficial though training can be provided
- Ideally good experience of modern web site technologies
