Our client is a successful and privately owned business that provides fund data and research products to a range of clients including institutional investment managers, discretionary managers and IFAs. We seek a Project Manager/Business Analyst to join this fast growing firm.

Job Summary

The primary objective of the role is to be the main product owner of our client's main customer website. There will be some additional responsibilities to get involved with other data and research products. The role is focused on undertaking requirements gathering, problem solving and designing elegant solutions to meet the business requirements. The requirements must be documented, tracked and escalated if required. The role will also require some level of testing, proposing improvements and BAU support. You will need to engage with the main stakeholders to ensure that all parties are happy with the requirements being put forward and the project deliverables are on time and fit for purpose.

Key Responsibilities

Knowledge/Experience

• Educated to a degree level
• Proven experience of analysis, designing, documenting and testing software
• Good Excel and Word skills

• SQL Skills – write and understand SQL (desirable; training can be provided)
• Industry fund knowledge is beneficial though training can be provided

This role will involve new business sales across our client's financial markets solutions. You will sell big ticket solutions and will have the experience of pulling together internal and external resources to create customer solutions and make deals happen. We seek a senior product manager who will work with customers, internal business divisions and sales teams. In working with clients you will gather market feedback and spec out a business case for different data sets. You will educate internal business heads, present your business case and demonstrate how different data sets can be commoditised to generate revenues. Once you have gained internal buy-in you will work with IT and development teams to build products with different interfaces (web, feeds, via data vendors to name a few delivery mechanisms) in line with market demand and clients’ perception of the data’s value. They are building new products and, due to demand, seek 2 consultants in their London office to work with a sales team and product developers. The role involves pre-sales prospect training, beta testing, prospecting and lead generation. After a client agrees to buy the solution(s) you will be responsible for system implementations and managing client relationships. You will also be involved with future product development.
