Background
Our client is a global organisation with a quality program that was launched eight years ago. This started as a journey to hire, train and run green belt evenings mainly based around small projects. In the last 2 years it has gained massive traction and uses the Toyota model in the way they are modelling quality. They have instilled a vision into the corporation that quality is good. In positively demonstrating how their quality program impacts the bottom line, it has been endorsed amongst the senior management team and was recently mentioned at their shareholder conference. The quality program spans all sections of our client's business.
Hiring Need
We are hiring someone to take Lean Six Sigma deep into our client's organisation. To achieve this we seek a Quality Manager who loves coaching, mentoring, monitoring and is passionate about quality. You will not initially be mandated to drive projects but you may do so in time. You will have the authority and ability to coach/mentor at any level. Underpinning that expertise is a real passion. You will have a strategic mindset, with strong mentoring, leadership and change management skills. My client has emphasised the need for clear thinking, coherent communication and influencing. You will think big and work with data analysis, for example, Fishbone, Pareto charts, value stream but the emphasis is more on influencing and communicating than on number crunching. You will be a guru who will put quality at the core of our client's organisation.
Requirement
The right person will have Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification (and a minimum Batchelor's degree). You will ideally have eight or more years of work experience in a service-based industry with prior experience as a Black Belt leading large, successful process improvement projects using Lean Six Sigma methodology. You will be a confident self-starter who excels at working with limited supervision and thinking creatively to resolve issues.
